Welcome to Volunteer Services

Volunteering at the Central Community Health Centre gives you the chance to hone your skills and meet new people in a supportive, collaborative environment where you know that your efforts are truly making a difference to people in your community.

At CCHC we help the most vulnerable people in our community to access the services they need to improve their lives. We empower our clients and the community to achieve their peak health and wellbeing. What we do makes a tangible difference in the lives of our clients and in the health of the communities we serve – St. Thomas, Central Elgin, and Southwold Township.

We are looking for passionate, dependable and hard-working individuals who want what they do to have meaning and impact. Our volunteers:

• Plan and lead programs
• Drive clients to and from medical appointments
• Assist with cooking classes and demonstrations
• Help clients to apply for identification
• Edit and design our newsletter, and
• Provide support to off-site clinics by driving our mobile bus.
• Complete special projects that make the best use of the skills and talents they wish to share with us (i.e. marketing and communications, survey analysis, etc)

Volunteers also make up our Board of Directors and Client Advisory Committee.

Our volunteers tell us that they get so much out of the time they spend with us as the organization does. They:
