Central Community Health Centre (CCHC) is a non-profit, charitable, community governed organization. Our interprofessional team provides primary health care, health promotion and prevention programs and services to residents of Central Elgin, St. Thomas and Southwold Township.


Position: Administrative Assistant – Temporary Full-Time – 37.5 hours per week

Job Description:

Approximately 3 weeks with possibility of extension.

The Administrative Assistant is the first point of contact and must have excellent organizational skills, and good time management; ability to multi-task; work efficiently and effectively; be a team- player and keep a positive attitude.

  • Front desk responsibilities: answering phones, greet visitors, respond to inquiries, relay calls and messages
  • Schedule clients; specialist and diagnostic testing appointments using EMR; make reminder calls; fax prescriptions; photocopy; print documents
  • Prepare, maintain, update, retrieve, track and file charts and other client records, manually and/or electronically
  • Maintain a current referral directory
  • Maintain service providers’ schedules in consultation with providers
  • Receive incoming mail, coordinate distribution, and process outgoing mail

Qualifications:

Three to five years’ administrative and customer service experience preferably in a health care setting. Proficiency in the use of computers, various software including Microsoft Office Suite, Electronic Medical Records and office equipment; ability to work in a fast paced environment; maintain a professional attitude and project a welcoming attitude.

Position: Chiropodist – Permanent Part-Time – 22.5 hours per week

CCHC is seeking a Chiropodist to perform assessment, diagnosis, treatment, health education, counselling, and other clinical foot care activities according to the College of Chiropodists of Ontario.

They support the Program Coordinator in their role as a key contact for clients, volunteers, community members, partners, funders, and others who connect with of the Central Community Health Centre (CCHC).  Support Program Coordinator with research and evaluation of community programs.  Assisting the Program Coordinator with set up and take down for programs and events as needed.

Description:  We are currently recruiting for a temporary Medical Office Assistant position for an 8 week contract. The Medical Office Assistant will be responsible for creating and maintaining databases of clients with certain identified markers to assist with program planning and monitoring.  They will review client data and update their records as appropriate.  They will assist with maintaining client records and referrals.  The Medical office Assistant will contact clients to book preventative health tests and update sociodemographic data.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Is between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment
  • Was registered as full-time post-secondary student during the preceding academic year and returning in the next academic year to full-time studies
  • Is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and;

Position: Administrative Assistant - Temporary Full-Time - 37.5 hours per week

Job Description:

Approximately 3 weeks with possibility of extension.

The Administrative Assistant is the first point of contact and must have excellent organizational skills, and good time management; ability to multi-task; work efficiently and effectively; be a team- player and keep a positive attitude.

  • Front desk responsibilities: answering phones, greet visitors, respond to inquiries, relay calls and messages
  • Schedule clients; specialist and diagnostic testing appointments using EMR; make reminder calls; fax prescriptions; photocopy; print documents
  • Prepare, maintain, update, retrieve, track and file charts and other client records, manually and/or electronically
  • Maintain a current referral directory
  • Maintain service providers’ schedules in consultation with providers
  • Receive incoming mail, coordinate distribution, and process outgoing mail

Qualifications:

Three to five years’ administrative and customer service experience preferably in a health care setting. Proficiency in the use of computers, various software including Microsoft Office Suite, Electronic Medical Records and office equipment; ability to work in a fast paced environment; maintain a professional attitude and project a welcoming attitude.

Description:  We are currently recruiting for a temporary Administrative Assistant position for an 8 week contract. The Administrative Assistant provides support with the delivery of partnership-based health promotion programs and community events. They support the Program Coordinator in their role as a key contact for clients, volunteers, community members, partners, funders, and others who connect with of the Central Community Health Centre (CCHC).  Support Program Coordinator with research and evaluation of community programs.  Assisting the Program Coordinator with set up and take down for programs and events as needed.
