How to Become a Volunteer
Are you interested in becoming a volunteer? We are looking for people who:
- Are passionate about making an impact in their community
- Are able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Have great communication skills
- Have excellent customer service skills
- Are reliable, punctual and professional

There are several steps involved in becoming a volunteer:
1. Complete an application form. Application forms can be obtained by:
- Clicking here to download a copy of our application form
- Dropping into the Centre and picking up a copy from the Community Development Director or the Front Desk
- Contact the Centre and one can be mailed to you.
2. If you are selected for an interview and offered a placement in our program, you must:
- Provide a current Police Vulnerable Sector Check (issued within 6 months of your interview date)
- Have a one-step TB test (or provide the results of one taken within the past year)
- Attend a volunteer orientation session
- Sign confidentiality and code of conduct documents
- Attend additional orientation and training sessions depending on your role.
Volunteering is a big responsibility. Please make sure this is a good time in your life for such a commitment.
