Position: Administrative Assistant - Contract Full-Time - 37.5 hours per week until March 31, 2022

Description:  The Central Community Health Centre (CCHC) is seeking qualified applicants for the pivotal role of Administrative Assistant. If you are highly organized and inspired by the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and challenging community health care setting where you will put your exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work with people to use on a daily basis, you will want to learn more about this role.

The Administrative Assistant is the first point of contact and must have excellent organizational skills, and good time management; ability to multi-task; work efficiently and effectively; be a team-player and keep a positive attitude.

    •   Front desk responsibilities: answering phones, greet visitors, respond to inquiries, relay calls and messages
    •   Schedule clients; specialist and diagnostic testing appointments using EMR; make reminder calls; fax prescriptions; photocopy; print documents
    •   Prepare, maintain, update, retrieve, track and file charts and other client records, manually and/or electronically
    •   Maintain a current referral directory
    •   Maintain service providers’ schedules in consultation with providers
    •   Receive incoming mail, coordinate distribution, and process outgoing mail

 Qualifications: 

  • Three to five years of customer service experience
  • Three years office experience, preferrably in a health care setting
  • Proficiency in the use of computers and various software applications and office equipment
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records is an asset
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, to maintain a professional attitude at all times, to respond in a positive way to demanding issues, and to project a welcoming, friendly personality
  • A second language is an asset
  • Experience working with clients who have experienced trauma is an asset

Terms of Employment:  Full time 37.5 hours, may include some evenings or weekends

Position: Chiropodist - Permanent Part-Time - 22.5 hours per week

Job Description:

CCHC is seeking a Chiropodist to perform assessment, diagnosis,treatment,health education,counseling,and other clinical footcare activities according to the College of Chiropodists of Ontario.

The Chiropodist acts as an advocate on behalf of CCHC’s target population, promoting health equity for all.

Primary Responsibilities

  •   Ensures chiropody resources, materials and equipment are maintained
  •   Contributes to chart documentation, participates in chart reviews and case conferences, and makes referrals to other health care providers where appropriate
  •   Participates in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of treatment, education,counseling and health promotion programs for individuals, families and thecommunity
  •   Other dutiesas may from time to time be assigned
  •   Participates in staff development and team meetings as requested.

 Qualifications:

  •   Graduate from a recognized school of chiropody 
  •   Current registration with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario without limitations 
  •   Experience as a chiropodist in a community health or hospital setting preferred 
  •   Experience in program development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation an asset 
  •   Proficiency in the use of computers and various software applications, including software used by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care 
  •   Able to work in a fast-paced environment, to maintain a professional attitude at all times, to respond in a positive way to demanding issues, and to project a welcoming, friendly personality
  •   A second language is an asset
  •   Experience working with clients who have experienced trauma is an asset
